Many buyers want chairs designed and built to their own specifications. Today we will go over which parts can be replaced for customer-requested component without new mold development:
.Casters Casters are fully interchangeable components. Common sizes are 50 mm and 60 mm in diameter. Most models adopt a stem-insert mounting design for quick and easy installation.

.StarBase Chair bases can be freely replaced. The mainstream options are metal bases and nylon bases. Standard radius sizes include 240 mm, 260 mm, 280 mm, 320 mm and 350 mm. Important note on stability: Oversized chairs must not be fitted with small-size bases. Improper matching will compromise stability and create a tipping hazard.

.Gas Lift Gas lifts are interchangeable. Available stroke heights cover 60 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm and 120 mm. Color choices include black, white, silver, gold and more.

.Mechanism Mechanism replaceability depends on overall chair construction. If the mechanism attaches only to the seat cushion, replacement is feasible for most cases. For integrated mechanisms that connect both seat cushion and backrest, direct swapout is not possible; only functionally equivalent mechanisms can be used as substitutes.

.Armrests Armrest compatibility relies on the chair’s structural layout. Armrests mounted only to the seat cushion can be replaced with matching alternatives, like gaming chairs, common upgrades include 3D, 4D, 6D and height-adjustable armrests. Four-point armrest systems that fasten to both seat cushion and backrest cannot be swapped arbitrarily. Structural integrity and safety performance must be prioritized.

.Upholstery Fabric Fabric colors can be changed where suitable material options exist. However, product geometry must be taken into account. Complex curved profiles or thick foam padding may lead to wrinkling or production failure if the wrong material is selected. Take our MC1039 gaming chair as an example. Its backrest features three thick padded inserts, originally upholstered in PU leather. Switching to highly stretch-prone leather will easily cause unsightly surface wrinkling.
